Exmouth
has a mainly flat access from the town to the beach
and nearly all the footpaths have gently slopped kerbs.
Disabled
Toilets. Radar keys are available from the
Tourist information Centre at the Magnolia Gardens.
The
Exmouth Town Hall with the Town Council, East Devon
Housing Office and the Citizens Advice has wheelchair
access from the car park end. The Library (see
photo) also has access via a slope.
The
railway station also has access via a slope at the
front. Evening trains are only accessible at the rear
of the station with a small slope (cut through the
Bus station, after the toilets turn right).

Exmouth's
Esplanade is totally flat and is over 2 miles long.
The beach has soft sand at the top of the beach. There
are slopes to the beach at the Orcombe point end (near
cliff). Further near the sand dunes not possible.
Near
the Middle of the Seafront, next to the Harbour view
cafe (near the Inshore Lifeboat Station) there is
a wide slope and the beach is flat, but altetes with
the sea.
The
River Exe has access from the Imperial Recreation
Ground (near the railway station) there is a slope
at the back (for boats) to estuary when the tide out,
Same again around the Marina there is a slope (for
boats) on the corner where the sea meets the river
when the tide out.
The
slipway near the Marina (near the Beach Hotel-pub)
has after one step, a small concrete path behind the
seawall defence leading towards the clock Tower, but
it does not go that far and must be completed on the
sand.
Plantation
Walk Description of the almost flat walk (with
12 photos). Also known as Madeira Walk. Starts below
the Beacon, it is a lovely shaded walk amongst trees
and bushes and flowers that extends behind the sea
front to the end of The Maer.
Stroll
around the many excellent shops in Rolle
Street, High Street,
The Parade, including Victoria
Road off the Strand Gardens.
Albion Street. There are
more smaller streets around the centre. Exeter
Road for some excellent shops and Businesses.

The
Manor Gardens. Exmouth is well known for it's beautiful
flower displays in summer. Its regularly won
many Britain in Bloom competitions over the years
and the immaculately kept gardens in the summer are
a joy to behold.
The
Strand Gardens with its trees and flower displays.
Its very nice to sit a while in summer, a midday break
away from the heat of the beach, a good meeting spot
being in the centre of town.
